What Do Athletic Trainers Do?
Prevention
Safety protocols, conditioning programs and equipment checks to reduce injury risk.
Emergency Care
Immediate, on-site care for acute injuries during practices and games.
Evaluation & Diagnosis
Assessing injuries from sprains to concussions and determining next steps.
Rehabilitation
Individualized recovery plans for a safe, gradual return to play.
Communication
The primary medical liaison between athlete, parents, and coaches.
First point of contact
